Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, my love of portraiture began at a very early age. Luckily I was raised in a family blessed with many artistic talents. My grandmother was an artist, my two aunts are artists, and even my parents sketched and painted. Although primarily self taught, I observed my family's works and studied painting at the Arts Magnet High School in downtown Dallas. Since then I have had the opportunity to study under other prominent professional portrait artists such as Margaret Baumgaertner and Texas artist Xiang Zhang.

Today, other than spending time with my family and raising two children, nothing gives me as much joy and satisfaction as painting. To capture not only a person's image but their character and inner "glow" is my ultimate goal.
